In 6th grade math, we will work with a lot of useful math skills (e.g. data analysis, calculating with fractions, decimals, and percents, using variables, 2D and 3D geometry, and probability).  We will be using the Everyday Mathematics program.  It will be a very challenging year, and I also hope it will be a very fun year!  :-)

Some parents used to receive a printout of a family letter which describes what each upcoming unit is about.  In an effort to be more "Green," family letters will not be printed but can be read on-line at this site.

We are currently working on...finishing up Rates, Ratios, and Proportions, then computations with negative numbers, and ending the year with some more algebra concepts.
